The boy watching his grandmother write a letter asked:
– “Are you writing a story about what we went through? Or is it about me?”
The grandmother stopped writing and said to her grandson:
– “Actually, I am writing about you. But more important than words is the Pencil I use. I hope you grow up to be like this pencil.”
The boy looked at the pencil curiously… It didn’t look like a special pencil.
– “But same as any other pencil I have seen before!”
“It’s about how you look at it. The Pencil has five important qualities that when you hold on to them your life will pass in peace.”
First one: You can do great things, but never forget that there is a hand that guides your steps.
For us, this hand is God and He always guides us by His power.
Second quality: From time to time I have to stop and sharpen whatever I’m writing.
While this may cause some pain to the pencil, it ultimately makes it sharper.
So you have to learn to endure some pains, these pains make you a better person.
Third quality: The pencil always lets you erase it with an eraser when you write something wrong.
You have to understand that it is not a bad thing to fix something we have done, on the contrary, it is one of the most important things to keep us on the path of justice.
Fourth quality: The most important part of the pencil is not the wood from which the pencil is made or the shape it reflects, but the lead in it. That’s why you should always look within yourself and protect it the most.
Finally, the pencil’s fifth quality is that it always leaves a mark.
Likewise, you should know that everything you do in life will leave a mark and you should be aware of your every move.
