On an ordinary evening, a man (Jan Hammenecker) whom no one knows gets on the subway. This man, who is sitting happily in an environment where everyone seems unhappy, has a strange mood (!) He is interestingly amused and smiling. But this man has a hidden purpose. It will perhaps give all these people there the most (unreasonable) joyful moments of their lives, who will find themselves laughing a few minutes later.
This short film called ‘Merci!’, shot in Brussels in 2003 and produced by Christine Rabette, presents us with an excellent example of leadership while conveying the power of smiles.
